The Bauteilvermittlung Zürichsee-Oberland is the platform that links suppliers and users of reusable building materials.
While paper, cardboard, textiles and green waste have long been collected separately, building components such as kitchens, bathrooms, fittings or intact doors and windows usually end up in landfill.
For this reason, Bauteilvermittlung Zürichsee-Oberland has set itself the goal of preventing still-usable building components from demolished buildings or those in need of renovation from being landfilled. The aim is to pass them on to interested customers, thereby saving resources and extending the life cycle of building materials.
The central contact point was launched in autumn 2001 as a pilot project of the Lokale Agenda 21 Stäfa association. It contributes to the reuse of building components, elements and materials from buildings that have been demolished or are being renovated. It thus contributes to waste reduction and promotes the circular economy.
