Reusing building components and materials reduces construction waste, conserves resources, saves embodied energy and cuts CO2 emissions. It shifts economic activities towards a local circular economy, making an ecological, social and economic contribution to the built environment.
Whether you're a passionate individual or a seasoned professional, if you're interested in reuse, Cirkla is for you!
Who we are
Cirkla is an association that brings together all those involved in reuse in the fields of architecture, consulting, planning, realization and distribution. Together, we promote and develop construction and design practices based on the use of reused elements.
Key points
The aim of the association is to promote re-use throughout Switzerland by following 4 axes:
1. Promoting re-use
Cirkla promotes the use of used building components and materials in construction projects.
2. Network cooperation
Cirkla is setting up a network of players able to help each other and cooperate on projects involving reuse.
3. Reuse visibility
Through its web platform, Cirkla showcases the network's projects and players, and raises the profile of the Swiss reuse scene.
4. Distribution and dissemination
By organizing events, Cirkla enables a wider public to acquire new knowledge and skills in the field of reuse.
