This bioclimatic wood-frame residential building features a very low grey-energy construction, an insulating double envelope and mud-brick walls for natural regulation of humidity and temperature. It incorporates sustainable solutions such as solar energy (thermal, photovoltaic, passive), dry toilets and rainwater recovery for potable use.
Reuse is at the heart of the project, with 50% of the windows recovered integrated into the double envelope, interior doors reused for an apartment and a common room, and second-life materials: oak flooring (50 m²), tiling (200 m²), sanitary facilities (washbasins, bathtubs) and an oak staircase. Traditional techniques, such as dry-stone walls and Saracen vaulting, complete this commitment to sustainable, circular construction.
