"The original client deliberately had the residential and commercial building
named "Grand Bazar" in reference to the "Concordiahof" at Rosenstrasse 2, completed in 1903.
. It should exude an ambience similar to that of
Paris at the turn of the century. Cornices, pilasters, windows and balconies in front of the rooms are the hallmarks of a representative
design language. The artistic use of materials is still expressed today
in the sandstone decorations, as well as in the high-quality tinsmithing and metalwork.
But original Art Nouveau floral motifs, plasterwork and paintings can also be found inside. Demanding carpentry work with original wooden floors testifies to the solid craftsmanship of the period. In the third-floor apartment, these elements are restored and treated with great attention to detail. Contemporary living elements are rearranged with care and circumspection, giving this object worthy of protection the respect it deserves".
